Use Google Meet with a Meetyn group invitation

Create the call in Google Meet

Use your Google account to create the meeting link through your usual Google Meet or Calendar workflow. Check its access controls before sharing it with a wider community. Meetyn's current connection is a pasted joining link: it does not create a call, manage Google's admission settings or read your Google Calendar availability.

Add the link to the invitation

Create a Meetyn event, select Google Meet as the meeting location, and paste the HTTPS joining URL. Add the session purpose, time and description. Guests use the Meetyn page to RSVP and save the event, then follow its Join meeting action when they are ready. Any sign-in or admission requirements are determined by Google Meet and the host.

Keep changes in both places aligned

If you replace the call link, update the Meetyn invitation and tell the group. Changing a Meetyn event does not edit a Google Calendar event you created independently. Likewise, an attendee's calendar export will not automatically refresh. This explicit link workflow keeps the first release simple while native conferencing connections remain a later phase.
