How to subscribe to a group calendar

Set up a Meetyn gathering calendar in Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook and understand what stays updated.

01

Get the correct link

Open the permanent gathering page. If its organizer enabled the calendar, choose Copy calendar URL in the Follow this group’s calendar section. Copy the feed URL rather than the invitation address. If the section is absent, ask the organizer whether a shared calendar is appropriate for the group.

02

Google Calendar

On the desktop website, find Other calendars, choose From URL and paste the feed URL. Finish adding it and check that it is visible. Google’s mobile app does not provide this URL-subscription setup flow. Once configured, device visibility depends on the selected account and calendar settings.

03

Apple Calendar and Outlook

In Apple Calendar, add a calendar subscription and paste the URL; Open calendar subscription may launch this flow for you. In Outlook on the web, choose Add calendar > Subscribe from web. Give it a recognizable name so it is easy to distinguish group events from your own appointments.

04

Troubleshooting missing updates

Check whether you imported a file instead of subscribing. Confirm the organizer attached the meeting to the right page and has not paused the feed. Allow time for refresh. An imported copy can coexist with the subscribed event and create a duplicate; check which calendar each belongs to before removing a copy.
